Our sessions complement your teaching of the National Curriculum and QCA schemes of work.

We encourage learning from different sources including objects and images, and will help your students to develop chronological understanding, to identify differences and similarities, and to use speaking and listening skills.

We can also tailor our sessions to fit your group’s specific learning or access needs.

Broader Learning

Galleries

The Museum has six galleries covering the history of the British soldier and the British Army from the Middle Ages to the modern day. We recommend you allow your students time to explore some of these galleries in order to extend and enrich their learning.

Action Zones

Enhance the experience of young visitors by exploring our Action Zones. Located in the Changing the World and World Wars galleries, these interactive hotspots feature multi-sensory games and activities that are fun for all ages!.

Online

You can download gallery trails highlighting key objects and learning points. The website also boasts a wide range of online exhibitions highlighting parts of our exciting collections and revealing hidden stories.
