Welcome to the National Army Museum’s Friends pages. We are a society run for and by people who choose to demonstrate their support for the purpose and work of the National Army Museum. Every year our funds are used to help the Museum purchase objects that generate a wider interest in and understanding of the British Army and its relevance to the world that we live in today.
There has never been a more exciting time to become involved with the National Army Museum Friends. The Museum has embarked upon an ambitious programme of development that will see its galleries transformed. We need you to help us achieve our vision.
With your help the Friends will help the National Army Museum treasure the heritage of the British Army and the values that soldiers have fought and died for.
We aim to:
- increase awareness and appreciation of the National Army Museum
- raise funds to help the Museum purchase important artefacts

How much does it cost?
Friends pay an annual or a life membership subscription, listed below. Many members chose to pay more than the minimum subscription, which enables us to contribute still more to the Museum.

The membership year is January to December. If you join before 1st September in any year, your next annual subscription will fall due on 1st January of the following year.
If you join on or after 1st September in any year, your next annual subscription will not be due until 1st January of the year after next.
