Following the success of the War Boy exhibition, the Museum is delighted to welcome back Michael Foreman to give a presentation on his life and work.

As part of the Sandstorm weekend event, SAS legend ‘Soldier I’ will talk about the little known Battle of Mirbat. In July 1972, nine SAS men showed outstanding heroism to defeat an attack by 400 Arab rebels in the Dhofar province of Southern Oman.

SAS veteran Chris Ryan was the only member of the eight-man BRAVO TWO ZERO mission to escape captivity during the 1997 Gulf War, after an epic solo journey that saw him evade Saddam Hussein’s troops and make it across the border. Ryan received the Military Medal for the longest escape and evasion in the history of the SAS. He speaks about his experiences on 29 September.
